Who Taught You How to Have Conflict?

Primarily we learned through osmosis, patterning or responding to the examples that were set for us first by our primary caregivers and later by authority figures, peers, and intimate partners. But this doesn’t mean we’re set up for success, rather we are molded by experience and neurobiologically triggered vs. working to insightfully and effectively interact with ourselves and others. But we can learn to step away from habitual and emotional reactions and build new skills to engage mindfully and productively in conflict resolution.

Conflict Is an Opportunity

Tenacity Rising’s founder Cinzia Lombardo used to think that conflict was something that should be proactively managed or all together avoided. A natural peacekeeper and social connector, she exhausted herself by constantly attempting to manage her interpersonal dynamics and that of others to ensure harmonious interactions. Why? Because she thought conflict was negative and peace was to be preserved at all costs. But along her professional and personal life’s journey she learned the power of co-constructive solution building, productive discord, and leveraging conflict as one’s greatest opportunity for growth and transformation.

So, Tenacity Rising was started not only to provide individuals, businesses, and communities with empowering conflict resolution services, but to also inspire the kind of perspective and interactional shifts that change our world when conflict is leveraged as an opportunity for better understanding and new outcomes.
